I love cities that are easy to navigate and quaint, yet not so small that you find yourself unsure of what to do. Strasbourg is one of those cities, and with it being just a couple of hours from Stuttgart I am tempted to go every weekend for a slice of tarte flambée! Its city center (the Grand Island) houses the towering, 142 meter Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, while sidestreets lead visitors to inviting cafés, plenty of green grass, and the oh-so-charming Petit France quarter. If you find yourself in Strasbourg, be sure to catch a boat ride through the canals, discover your own flea market treasures, or hop into a brewery for a pint of Fischer beer – founded in Strasbourg in 1821.
