YOU WOULDN’T KNOW it, but just last year this bright and welcoming restaurant was a dark and dingy run-down bar. Thanks to the team who turned this space around, it is now arguably one of the best spots to dine in Reykjavik. With delicious Icelandic flavors (like my licorice- and salt-encrusted salmon) and a friendly, farmhouse-inspired decor, this ale house near the harbor is a definite must when visiting Iceland’s capital.
